Description
As part of the exhibition at the Arts Décoratifs-musée de la Mode et du textile from March 21 to September 23, 2007
Jean-Paul Gaultier designed the costumes for twelve ballets choreographed by Régine Chopinot. The most famous, Défilé (1985), made history by reconciling a new generation of choreographers with the dance costume. More than 80 costumes (from 1983 to 1994) trace the creative path of Jean-Paul Gaultier, who chose to experiment with his stylistic research in the field of dance. The authors bring together the talents of the Musée de la Mode et du Textile in Paris, the Centre national du costume de scène in Moulins and the Centre national de la danse in Pantin.
