The story's key values

Courage #Commitment #Solidarity #Responsibility

The legend of the Hummingbird, of Native American origin, invites us not to remain passive in the face of adversity. The most fragile being has, at his or her own level, the duty to act and the power to change things through the example he or she sets and the energy he or she inspires in others. This age-old legend is particularly relevant at a time when humanity is facing an unprecedented ecological challenge.

About the Artist
Aurore de la Morinerie is a French artist and illustrator who works and lives in Paris. A lover of China and Japan, she took up calligraphy and Chinese painting while studying fashion design at the École supérieure des Arts appliqués Duperré. She is regularly exhibited at the Palais Galliera, where several of her drawings are part of the museum's permanent collection. In an abundance of experimentation with techniques - brush drawing, monotype, photography - Aurore uses materials, tools, supports, superimpositions and colors, reflecting the richness and diversity of the flora and fauna of the world.
and diversity of flora and fauna. Inspired by the hummingbird, Aurore has already had the opportunity to study and draw it many times, and it was she who suggested creating a work to illustrate the hummingbird legend. It's a story that's very much like her, and one that she embodies perfectly. We're inspired by the poetry, subtlety and generosity of her work, and it's a great pleasure to welcome her to the Une histoire au mur adventure.
