Description
Armchair designed by fashion designer Paul Poiret. A pioneer of Parisian elegance, Paul Poiret founded the Martine school to breathe new life into the decorative arts. This was followed by the creation of the Martine workshops and publishing house. This chair echoes the geometric motif of garden trellises, a recurring theme in the festive scenes orchestrated by the couturier, to which the cream of Belle Époque Parisian society was invited.
