Description

Why don't you show your naked body to just anyone? What is the point of a diary? What should I do if a situation makes me feel uncomfortable? Should I tell my parents everything? What is incest? This book tackles the different facets of physical, emotional and digital intimacy and consent in sixteen questions.

Sixteen children's questions about intimacy and consent
What is intimacy? Why don't we show ourselves naked to just anyone? Why are statues in museums naked? Where are private parts? Why is Mehdi afraid to go to the toilet at school? Is my body different from other people's? Why does puberty make you feel strange? Do I have to tell my parents everything? Why do I have to ask permission before touching someone? What is consent? What should I do if a situation makes me feel uncomfortable? How do you recognise sexual assault? What is incest? Why should I be careful on the Internet? Is privacy a right? What is the point of sex education classes?

Information to combat sexual violence against children
Most sexual violence against children occurs between the ages of 7 and 10. Several double-page spreads are devoted to this subject to open up dialogue and explain to children that it is never their fault and that they should not be ashamed. They should be able to identify a potentially dangerous situation and react to an adult (or another minor) who is behaving badly, by remembering the law. The text explains that most adults make affectionate gestures, and that it's important to remain cautious, without being suspicious of everyone.
