Description

This illustration of the fable The Crow and the Fox, created by artist Jan Bajtlik, offers a modern take on one of Jean de La Fontaine's most iconic stories, itself inspired by Aesop's fables. First published in 1668, this timeless story features a crow flattered by the compliments of a cunning fox, who loses his cheese as a result of the fox's manipulation.

Through a contemporary visual interpretation, this work invites reflection on the power of words and the importance of developing critical thinking in the face of flattery and hidden intentions. It serves as both an educational tool and a decorative piece, imparting a universal lesson in discernment and vigilance to children and adults alike.

A multidisciplinary artist born in Warsaw in 1989, Jan Bajtlik excels in painting, drawing, and design. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he has received numerous awards for his artistic and educational work, notably from the Polish Ministry of Culture. A regular collaborator with Hermès since 2016, he has developed an internationally recognized graphic universe that blends culture, pedagogy, and contemporary aesthetics.
