Description

Artist Jan Bajtlik's interpretation of the fable 'The dog and his shadow'.

This fable encourages us to appreciate what others have without feeling jealous or wanting to take from them what they have, and to cultivate a more generous approach. Covetousness and temptation are to be suppressed on pain of serious disillusionment, to be replaced by a desire to 'have more' that is not at the expense of others. She also urges us not to be fooled by deceptive appearances, a timely message in a world saturated by sometimes deceptive images.
